Take the bowl of cream and whip it until it is firm.
She wore a long white dress and a white veil.
Mr Whiteley has five fields of wheat on his farm.
To whittle is to shape a small piece of wood with a knife.
The children began to whine when they became hungry.
Whence is an old way to say “from where”.

The fox is wily which means cunning or crafty.

In the forest we saw a wolf run past our tent.
The fabric of this coat is made entirely of wool.
I like to see the woolly sheep out in the fields.

The willow tree grows along the edge of rivers.

The old word awheel means the same as “on wheels”.

He wheeled the bike to the shed and locked the door.

The old engine had a very large flywheel at the side.

The cogwheel on this machine needs some repairs.

The ant has to feel its way around with its feelers.
I had to fill the hole in the wall with a special filler.

The church has a lot of kneelers to help people kneel.
I am happy to dwell in the country, I am not a city dweller.

To pickle is to preserve foods in something like vinegar.

The mole is a tunneller, digging its way through the earth.

I like to travel around the country on my bike.
The travellers arrived at the hotel in time for lunch.

The kids are sprinkling icing all over the cake.

To haggle is to argue or quibble over the price.
He is a right haggler when it comes to market prices.

To pare an apple, I had to buy a new sharp parer.
I am the bearer of very good news about the bear in the zoo.

It is much fairer to give the kids the same amount of money.

The hearers of these words are going to be very surprised.
I know the wearer of this wedding dress will be delighted.

These oranges are much sourer than the ones I had last week.

Jones was a high scorer in all the games this year.
If you use the scourer you can clean the pans much better.
She works as a restorer of clocks in an antique shop.

Those in the town became poor when the factory closed.
Those in the south were poorer than those in the north.
She was feeling very poorly and could not go to school.
The water in the stream was very clear and pure.
Our water is much purer since they replaced the pipes.
We have made these rules purely to increase staff safety.

He was asking whether we would be going to the game.
I do not know whether he will pass that examination.
We will do our best to get these items for the customer.
I think we will have to go to town tomorrow morning.
We will not have any milk left by tomorrow morning.
I heard them say we will not be getting a pay rise just yet.
